ABOUT US

Centre for Environmental Research Education Awareness and Strategies (CEREAS) was established in recognition of the existing huge gap between the academics in the field of environment and the general public. We recognized that outcomes of research activities in the field of environment and public health are largely unknown to the general public. As a result, CEREAS was established primarily to communicate research findings in the area of environmental toxicology, environmental degradation, natural resource conservation, and public health in a layman’s language to members of the public in developing countries.

We raise fund to support this course and actively engaged in environmental education and awareness through partnership with like-minded organisations. Ultimately, our overriding goal is to contribute to the achievement of some of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

Our Associates are members of academic communities who carry out independent research works.

The aims and objectives of CEREAS are:

  1. 1. To contribute to global environmental management practices through independent research works in the area of environmental health and emerging pollution issues;

  2. 2. To sensitise the general public on best environmental management practices and prevention of non-communicable diseases associated with exposure to contaminated environmental media;

  3. 3. To promote through education the conservation of natural resources and efforts aimed at mitigating climate change.
